Transport Protocol Optimization for Next-Generation Networks and Satellite Communications

Hendrik Cech is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Connected Mobility at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, supervised by Prof. Dr. Jörg Ott. His research focuses on enhanced transport protocols for next-generation applications, with particular emphasis on multipath communication and satellite networks.
Hendrik's work investigates transport layer protocols and their optimization for emerging network environments, including MPTCP scheduler development and Linux kernel implementations, QUIC protocol adaptations for LEO satellite communications, and transport protocol optimization for 5G/6G networks.
